BWM e36 Battery Compartment

If you are a e36 newbie like me, you will have a hard time finding the BMW e36 battery compartment. Unlike most Japanese cars, it's located at the boot on the right hand side. One of the things that my mechanic spotted before I took over this bimmer was the rust found in this area. Needless to say corrosion like this can affect the body of the whole frame over a prolong period. I managed to take a shot before the battery compartment was fixed.

After taking over the car, I got the mechanic to sand paper the affected areas before spraying a layer of black paint over it. Total cost is approximately SG$150.
